"Ronnie A. Rook"

Founder/Manager

Ronnie A. Rook began  Lil Paws All Breed  Rescue, in Aug. 2012.  Being a compassionate animal lover he and a small group of volunteers have dedicated their time and personal finances to provide all their rescues with a safe and secure enviroment for how ever long it deems necessary till a compatable match is found for placement in their new family.  We are dedicated to all  breeds 25 pounds or less in need of immediate rescue. Our rescue is non-profit and it's continued success depends on our adoption donations and the kindness and compassion of like minded individuals willing to donate to the cause, we appreciate and welcome all financial donations as well as material donations of items necessary to carry out the day to day functions in caring for our rescues. We are here for them regardless of age, health or physical challenges.

We also accept owner surrenders regardless of reason of surrender. (Owner surrenders are contingent on space availability and require a $50.00 surrender fee to help offset the initial intake expenses) Contact us at 417-499-8752 for more information regarding current space availability. The $50.00 surrender fee will be waived for surrenders due to financial hardship, contact us we will work with you.  If you know of or suspect an animal suffering from abuse, neglect or abandonment please call us and we will gladly check into it.

A Dogs Wish

Treat me kindly, my beloved friend for no heart in all the earth is more grateful for kindness than ours.

Do not break my spirit with blows or words, though I will lick your hand between them, your patience & understanding teach me more than your anger.

Speak to me often for your voice is the sweetest music, as you must know by my tails fierce wagging.

Please keep me inside for I am no longer wild & I ask for no more than to sit with you.

Though if you had no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest in the warmest home in the entire universe for you are my friend.

All I ask is that you keep my dish filled, for although I should not reproach you were it empty, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst or hunger.

I only ask of this so that I may stay well to romp and play and walk by your side to stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life should you or those you love be in danger.

And dear friend, should the Great One see fit to deprive me of my health, sight or make me feel pain that I do not understand, do not turn me away, rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me merciful release from this earth and eternal rest with our maker.

I will miss you then and wait for you to join me.

As I leave this body I will be comforted knowing, even with my last breath,

I was ever safest in your warm arms.
